Located in Normandy, in the region La Manche, near the sea, “Le Thot” Stud was founded in the 70s when Jean François Noël inherited his dad’s breeding. He started as a professional rider and a trainer of young horses for customers. At 30 years old, he leaves the family farm to develop his activity with his wife from Switzerland, cousin of the international riders Tomas and Markus Fuchs’.

It’s in the beautiful farm in traditional granite, located at 2 miles from the beach, that the family Noël with their 3 children breeds horses with passion.
The Stud counts 180 horses, 32 broodmares which half of them belong to owners.

 

The Stud covers 100 hectares (250 acres) of pastures maintain in excellent condition thanks to the Norman climate, 40 inside stables, 18 outside stables, outdoor arena, indoor arena, walker, paddocks, laboratory for inseminations…

 

Successful breed, the Stud sales mainly its horses abroad, many of them show internationally in Europe (Switzerland, Ireland, Portugal, Great Britain…).The pride of the breeding is Ideo du Thot, winner of the Las Vegas World Cup in 2007 in Show Jumping ridden under Swiss colors.
